Чешская компания скрытно поставила важное оборудование для атомной электростанции в Украине.

The Czech company Plzeňská Škoda JS, part of the ČEZ group, secretly delivered eight new drives for reactors to Ukraine's Rivne region. This information was reported by the news portal Novinky, as conveyed by UNN.

Details

A representative of the engineering company, Karel Samec, explained in Plzeň that the equipment was delivered due to repeated attacks from Russia.

He clarified that these devices ensure the stable operation of the reactor and allow for its regulation, which will help guarantee stable electricity supplies to Ukraine.

Rivne is home to one of the four nuclear power plants in the country.

Another company in this group, ÚJV Řež, manufactured and delivered a special cable weighing 13 tons and measuring 173 meters. This cable is intended to reinforce the reactor's protective building.

According to the terms of the contract, Škoda JS sent 76 storage units to the Rivne NPP. The majority of the equipment has already been put into operation. The spare devices are intended for replacement if necessary. The cost of the contract is confidential information in line with the client's wishes.

ŠKODA JS is currently the only manufacturer in the world capable of supplying this type of drives to Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The only alternative manufacturer is Russia, as noted by Novinky.

The company hopes to expand its cooperation, including with the South Ukraine NPP. ŠKODA JS is also actively working in connection with the already announced expansion plan for the Khmelnytsky NPP.

Recall that

Due to enemy shelling, one of the two power transmission lines connecting the Zaporizhzhia NPP to the energy system of Ukraine has disconnected. The station is now operating on a single power line, with restoration to begin after the security situation improves.
