Ukraine is set to receive another tranche of approximately $917.5 million from the International Monetary Fund. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, as conveyed by UNN.

Details

Negotiations have commenced in Kyiv and Warsaw between the leadership of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the National Bank, and experts from the International Monetary Fund.

The main topic of the meetings is the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

The Ukrainian delegation includes Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, his First Deputy Denys Uliutin, as well as deputies Yurii Drahanchuk and Olha Zykova. The mission is expected to last several days and will cover two cities - Kyiv and Warsaw.

Participants in the negotiations will focus on analyzing Ukraine's compliance with the conditions outlined in the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy. To pass the seventh review, Kyiv must implement twelve structural reforms in the areas of finance, fiscal policy, and public administration.

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko expressed hope for a constructive dialogue with IMF representatives and emphasized the importance of this process for further financing. Following a successful review, Ukraine could receive another tranche of approximately $917.5 million. He also thanked international partners for their support, which helps enhance the country's financial stability.

We are counting on a week of fruitful discussions with IMF experts. The outcome of a successful program review should be Ukraine receiving funding of around $917.5 million. I am grateful to the International Monetary Fund for its support and expertise, which strengthens Ukraine's economic and financial resilience.

Recall

Under the EFF program, Ukraine's state budget has already received seven tranches totaling approximately $9.8 billion. The total support planned for the period from 2023 to 2027 amounts to $15.5 billion. Since the onset of the full-scale war, the IMF has remained one of Ukraine's key financial donors, second only to the European Union and the United States.
