Zelensky identified the most "affordable" security guarantees for Ukraine from its allies.

The President of Ukraine stated that NATO membership is the most cost-effective option for security guarantees for allies. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine's 800,000-strong army would be an asset for the Alliance.

Without security guarantees, any deal with Russia will only foreshadow future aggression, and Ukraine's NATO membership is the "cheapest" option for Ukraine's allies. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Associated Press, as reported by UNN.

Zelensky emphasized that this would also be a victory for U.S. President Donald Trump.

Additionally, the president noted that Ukraine's 800,000-strong army would serve as a bonus for the Alliance, especially if Trump attempts to bring home American troops stationed abroad.

Furthermore, other proposals for security guarantees must be backed by a sufficient amount of weapons from the U.S. and Europe, as well as support for Kyiv in developing its own defense industry, the president pointed out.
