Russians are attempting to reach Kharkiv, as a military source discusses the enemy's new tactics.

Russian forces are continuing their attempts to break through to the administrative borders of Kharkiv. The commander of the assault drone battalion "Achilles" shared with Focus details about the combined attacks and the enemy's advances in this section of the front.

The Kharkiv direction remains a crucial strategic point for the enemy, and the Russians continue their attempts to reach the administrative borders of Kharkiv. Back in May, the adversary deployed significant forces, but due to the fierce resistance of the Defense Forces, they were unable to achieve this goal.

According to him, the enemy's tactics include the activity of sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) that try to infiltrate the combat formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, sometimes even disguising themselves as Ukrainian soldiers. However, most of these groups are successfully detected and eliminated.

"Ukrainian forces are constantly improving their tactics and securing important positions. In particular, the 92nd Assault Brigade and the 13th National Guard Brigade 'Charter' carried out successful countermeasures, reclaiming several positions, especially in the area of Hlublivka. Thanks to coordinated actions, enemy equipment was destroyed, and assault units were neutralized," the military official states.

The Defense Forces are also actively working to eliminate enemy reserves and equipment. For example, in the battles in the Kupiansk direction, the Russians lost about 90 units of equipment in a week. This approach significantly slows down the enemy's offensive actions.

In the direction of Kolesnykivka in the Kupiansk area, the enemy has partially advanced, specifically entering the settlement of Kruhlyakivka. However, their positions remain unprepared, and the occupiers are suffering heavy losses. For instance, in just one area, 139 bodies of Russian soldiers were found, says Fedorenko.

The enemy is also attempting to advance toward Zhelezno, but each tactical success is accompanied by excessive losses, which demoralizes their personnel.

"Russia continues to seek reserves, even involving individuals who have been imprisoned. At the same time, discipline within their units is maintained through harsh methods, including physical coercion. The enemy will likely continue to try to break through to Kharkiv, but with the support of the Ukrainian nation and international partners, the Defense Forces are capable of holding back and defeating the enemy," the battalion commander explains.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy's task of reaching the left-bank Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Uzlovyi by November 1 remains unfulfilled. Currently, Ukrainian fighters are holding their positions and continue to push the enemy out of key points.
