Subsidy-2025: Who Can Apply for Assistance

In January 2025, those eligible for utility payments may include:

• residents registered at the property;
• tenants with a valid rental agreement;
• internally displaced persons (IDPs);
• individual builders.

Additionally, the maximum allowable amount for one-time expenses that may hinder the receipt of a subsidy has recently been increased. This amount is now 100,000 UAH. If the expenses were for a generator or other energy equipment, the maximum amount is 150,000 UAH.

Even in the event of intensified power outages in January, the subsidy amount will remain unchanged. This is because the assistance calculation is based on social consumption norms, and a decrease in the actual volume of electricity usage does not affect the subsidy amount.

The government has noted that supporting the population remains one of the key objectives of state policy. Accordingly, new state mechanisms are planned to be implemented to ensure fair distribution of subsidies aimed at helping those most in need of support.
