Sources from Focus report that designer Shatsky from the Mars Design Bureau in Russia has been eliminated, known for enhancing X-59 missiles.

In the Kuzminsky Forest Park near Kotelniki, the deputy chief designer and head of the functional software department at the Mars Design Bureau, Mikhail Shatsky, was shot dead. According to sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the engineer was involved in upgrading the X-59 cruise missiles to the level of X-69.

Colleagues regarded the designer as the key ideologist behind the integration of artificial intelligence into UAVs and other aerial and space vehicles.

"Every individual connected in any way to the development of the Russian military-industrial complex and supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine is a legitimate target for the Defense Forces," emphasized the sources to the publication.

In addition to the missile sector, Shatsky was also involved in the development and reliability forecasting of onboard control systems for spacecraft based on neural network theory.

The Mars Design Bureau is a subsidiary of the Russian state atomic energy holding company, Rosatom. "Mars Design Bureau" develops and manufactures onboard systems and complexes for automatic control and navigation of space and atmospheric UAVs, as well as universal ground testing and launch complexes for product testing and launch preparation.

Recall that in September 2024, a successful test flight of the prototype drone "OKO-9" took place. Other "gasoline" aircraft are significantly louder in comparison.
