Replacing artillery, sappers, and infantry: Ukrainian drones amazed attendees at IDEX 2025.

The Fury PRO drones have already been tested in combat, attracting the attention of international experts. One of them set a record by completing over 200 combat missions.

New Features of Fury PRO

Dronesquad unveiled the Fury PRO drone at IDEX 2025 — a bomb-carrying copter capable of carrying up to 15 kg of munitions. By the way, we previously reported how Fury PRO drones amazed foreigners at the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition in Paris. Currently, engineers, along with the team from OMD Systems, are integrating a new navigation system to provide portable artillery support. The idea is simple: soldiers arrive at their position, open a box containing the drone, press a button, and then the UAV automatically executes its mission using a secure GPS channel and optical navigation that cannot be jammed by electronic warfare means.

"The technology isn't particularly new, but very few have integrated it into their products," emphasized Mikhail.

Utilizing Fury PRO with secure communication is ten times cheaper than using artillery systems or mortars, considering both the cost of armament and accuracy, as a greater number of munitions dropped from the bomber hit their targets. Consequently, missions cost significantly less, which surprises foreigners interacting with Dronesquad employees. For the next event, Mikhail plans to prepare materials that will visually demonstrate the economic benefits of this approach.

Under the guidance of skilled pilots, the Fury PRO UAV can operate for extended periods successfully. Mikhail shared that their record-setting copter in one of the Defense Forces' units completed 214 combat sorties before it was shot down. The previous record for Fury PRO was 111 sorties.

"This is a very motivational achievement for all analogs of such large bombers," added the director.

Fury PRO is not only used for bombing specific targets. Recently, they have also started to mine areas by dropping many small mines. There was another interesting case when one Fury PRO was shot down and fell into a swamp with a full load of munitions, while another helped retrieve it to avoid losing a valuable machine.

Another intriguing development from Dronesquad is a mount that allows an AR-15 automatic rifle to be attached to the drone for remote firing. It is anticipated that this system will enable Ukrainian UAV operators to provide suppressive fire on Russian Armed Forces positions before an assault.

"Although we are still testing the mount, we have already achieved good feedback. Currently, integration is underway with the Kalashnikov rifle and the Minimi machine gun," reported the developer.

Ukrainian Weapons at IDEX 2025

According to him, the atmosphere at IDEX 2025 was such that Dronesquad participants would have preferred to be at the Ukrainian cluster Brave1 event, which took place in Kyiv around the same time. It seemed that foreign representatives had a poor understanding of the realities of the war in Ukraine and the products that effectively carry out most of the work on the front lines. They hold many illusions about the events occurring there.

"We even thought that for the next conference in Abu Dhabi, we should create one golden drone adorned with rhinestones and another pink one to attract their interest, as very few people genuinely engage, inquire, and seek information. There was more interest in Ukrainian products at Eurosatory in France than here," commented Mikhail.

However, visitors who were genuinely interested in the products and engaged with Dronesquad representatives were surprised by the high-tech solutions offered by Ukrainian engineers. Typically, they admit they could not have imagined such capabilities.

"The most challenging part is reaching the threshold where a person becomes interested and starts listening attentively," shared the head of Dronesquad.

On the other hand, knowledgeable foreigners have a high level of trust in Ukrainian products and show more interest in them than others due to their experience in real combat scenarios. There is currently a trend where military equipment or weaponry does not gain a good reputation until it has been on the front lines in Ukraine. If a manufacturer has undergone combat operations, they may attract interest from the foreign audience.

"For example, when I looked at the analogs of our drone, most do not understand the conditions of the front and how electronic warfare operates there. Most devices rely on standard LTE communication or unprotected GPS navigation," the interlocutor explained.

Exhibitions like IDEX 2025 are beneficial for Ukrainian companies as they allow for building valuable contacts abroad and getting to know suppliers of parts beyond just those from China. For instance, alternatives to antennas with secure GPS navigation systems are typically very expensive, and personal meetings at conferences make it easier to negotiate with manufacturers.

The Dronesquad team was represented at the exhibition as part of a partnership with the accelerator platform Brave Inventors and the state enterprise "SpetsTechnoExport".

Previously, it was reported that South Korea presented the XR-17 handheld machine gun at IDEX 2025. The new model features a unique gas-operated system design that reduces carbon buildup and simplifies maintenance.

Meanwhile, Kia showcased the Tasman military pickup in Abu Dhabi. This modification is designed for tactical operations, thus offering higher performance and better maneuverability in challenging conditions.
