According to preliminary information, the Russian air defense system opened fire on drones approaching the oil refinery in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city.
Witnesses noted that the first sounds of explosions were heard approximately half an hour before 3:45 AM, with at least seven blasts recorded, and possibly more than ten. Bright flashes were observed above the city, accompanying the operation of the air defense system.
Loud noises were also reported in Krasnoslobodsk and the Kirovsky district. As a result of the explosions, car alarms went off in the yards of some residential buildings.
There have been no official statements regarding potential damage or injuries as of yet. According to local residents, the explosions are ongoing, and the situation remains tense.
