Уилл Смит дал намек на продолжение "Хэнкок 2" с участием Зендеи.

Seventeen years after the release of "Hancock," actor Will Smith hinted at a possible sequel to the superhero film. This was reported by Variety, as conveyed by UNN.

Details

"There’s a really cool, really cool idea for 'Hancock 2'," Smith said during a Twitch stream.

He noted that the team has not yet discussed this project, but he could share one small detail – Zendaya is being considered for a role in "Hancock 2."

The original "Hancock" was released in 2008, featuring Will Smith as an amnesiac, alcoholic superhero who struggles with the consequences of his actions while saving people in Los Angeles.

After saving the lives of a couple (played by Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron), they help him improve his image and recall his past.

The film was directed by Peter Berg and produced by Sony. The screenplay was written by Vince Vincent Ngo and "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan.

With a budget of $150 million, "Hancock" grossed over $600 million worldwide.

Sony has not commented on any plans for a sequel.

This is not the first time rumors about a "Hancock" sequel have surfaced. Back in 2009, Berg told MTV News that "everyone will come back for the sequel." In 2020, Theron mentioned in an interview with ComicBook that discussions had stalled since the film's release, but admitted she would "jump at the chance" if it were possible.

Recently, Smith won an "Oscar" for his role in "King Richard" – at the very ceremony where he slapped Chris Rock, while Zendaya received two "Emmy" awards for her role as Rue in HBO's "Euphoria." Production for the third season began earlier this year.

Reminder

The film "Rock, Paper, Scissors," directed by Franz Böhm, in which Ukrainian actor Alexander Rudinsky played the lead role, winned in the category of "Best British Short Film."
