Rescue teams saved 135 miners during an accident at a mine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to the State Emergency Service.

According to the State Emergency Service, 135 miners who were trapped over 1,300 meters underground due to an accident at a mine substation in Dnipropetrovsk region have been brought to the surface as of Wednesday evening.

"Thanks to the collaborative efforts of rescue workers, company specialists, and other units of the State Emergency Service, the accident has been resolved. The rescue of the miners required the use of complex technology to create an artificial load on the mine cage, which allowed for the safe lifting of individuals to the surface," the State Emergency Service stated.
