Day of Military Personnel of Operational Control at All Levels in Ukraine
This professional holiday is also known as the Day of Staff Specialties and Special Communication Forces.
The aim of this day is to draw attention to the often invisible structures that ensure uninterrupted and reliable communication during both peacetime and wartime. Additionally, telecommunication systems maintain special communication between officials at all levels of government, from top state management representatives to local authorities.
The Main Directorate of Special Communications was established in 1992. It is now subordinate to the Security Service of Ukraine. Timely receipt of necessary and verified information and rapid response from authorities, human rights defenders, and the military is crucial for safety in Ukraine.

110 years since the birth of Daniil Ivanovich Bezuklyy (1914-1977), Ukrainian painter;
100 years since the birth of Mikhail Grigoryevich Vodyanoy (real name - Vasserman) (1924-1987), Ukrainian theater director, film actor, and emcee, after whom the Odessa Theater of Musical Comedy is named;
25 years since the birth of Maxim Sergeyevich Lyakh (December 23, 1999, Topila village, now in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region), participant in the Russo-Ukrainian war, Hero of Ukraine. Maxim Lyakh died in Bakhmut on May 5, 2023.
Church Holiday:
The day is named in honor of Saint Theodoulos. He lived in Thessaloniki in the 3rd century when emperors Diocletian and Maximilian were conducting brutal persecutions against Christians. Theodoulos served as a reader in the church. The persecutors offered him to renounce his faith or die immediately. "I choose life, but eternal life," said Theodoulos. After these words, he was thrown into the sea with a stone around his neck.
