Ephrem the Syrian was born in the Roman Empire in Nisibis (modern-day Nusaybin) around 306 AD into a Christian family and died on June 9, 373 AD in Edessa (modern-day Şanlıurfa).
The most significant work of the saint is the interpretation of Sacred Scripture; he is also the author of teachings, sermons, prayers, hymns, and prophecies. Ephrem the Syrian had a talent for mentorship and teaching, and he loved to travel and seek solitude.
