The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has provided Ukraine with an "enhanced" draft agreement regarding minerals between the two countries after President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected the initial proposal, Axios reports.
The publication notes that this information has been confirmed by Ukrainian and American officials, as well as three informed sources.
According to sources from both sides, this version of the deal appears to be more feasible.
Axios reports that several of Zelensky's aides have urged him to sign the updated proposal to avoid further confrontation with Trump and allow him to justify continued U.S. support for Ukraine.
"The latest draft has seen significant improvements and is in line with Ukrainian legislation," the source noted.
