In Poltava, the death toll from the missile strike on a multi-story building has risen to twelve. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided updated information on the number of victims and injured as of Sunday morning, February 2.
"Poltava: the number of deceased has increased to 12, including 2 children. There are 17 injured, among them 4 children. 22 people have been rescued," - the message on the State Emergency Service's Telegram channel states.
Rescue operations are ongoing.
As reported, as a result of the missile strike in Poltava on February 1, the entrance of a multi-story residential building was destroyed from the 1st to the 5th floor, resulting in a fire. Initially, 11 fatalities were reported, including a child, with 17 people injured, three of whom are children. Nearby buildings and 12 vehicles were also damaged.
