The Ukrainian General Staff has undeniable evidence that the strike on the boarding school in Sudzha was carried out by Russian tactical aviation.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that there is undeniable evidence indicating that the strike on the boarding school in Sudzha, Kursk region (Russia), was carried out by the Russian Air Force using guided bombs.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that there is undeniable evidence that a guided aerial bomb strike on an orphanage in Sudzha, Kursk region (RF) was carried out by the Russian Air Force.

"There is undeniable evidence and results of objective control that the strike was executed by Russian tactical aviation," - the statement published on the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of February 2, indicates.

The General Staff also included screenshots from the "Virazh-Tablet" system showing the trajectory of the Russian guided aerial bomb.

The statement also elaborates on the details and consequences of the Russian strike on a civilian facility within the territory of the RF.

"Around 18:00 on February 1, 2025, Russian aviation struck a location where civilians were temporarily residing (Lenin St., 7, Sudzha, RF) - a three-story building of a former orphanage, which housed 86 local civilians and a National Police of Ukraine station with 4 police officers.

As a result of the strike, the central part of the building was destroyed. By 21:00, 4 fatalities were reported, 4 individuals were severely injured, and approximately 80 civilians were unharmed. The severely injured were evacuated to stabilization points for medical assistance and further evacuation to a hospital," - the statement reads.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted: "Bombing peaceful civilians is the signature style of Russian criminals! Even when the peaceful population consists of local residents, Russians."

Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces struck a boarding school in Sudzha, where, among others, elderly individuals were housed, with 95 people trapped under the rubble.

The Russian side was aware that local residents, including women and children, who were exclusively civilians, were in the school building in Sudzha, Kursk region; nevertheless, Russian forces still carried out the strike, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
