Trump's advisor, billionaire Elon Musk, spoke at the launch event of the election campaign for the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) and urged attendees to "fight, fight, fight," reports the publication Die Zeit on Saturday evening.
During the AfD campaign launch, Elon Musk criticized the German government in a live broadcast, stating that it shows little concern for the "well-being of Germany."
Elon Musk reaffirmed his support for the AfD party in a video message at the campaign launch in Halle an der Saale.
"In his view, AfD leader Alice Weidel would be very beneficial for Germany as chancellor. The AfD has his full backing and, as he believes, also the support of the Trump administration," Die Zeit reports.
However, Musk criticized the current German government for allegedly suppressing freedom of speech.
