The road services in the Kharkiv region have been put on heightened alert due to challenging weather conditions in the area, reported the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov.
"Due to precipitation in the form of wet snow, rain, and the formation of ice, the road services in the Kharkiv region have been placed on heightened alert," Synegubov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, over 150 units of special machinery are currently operating on the region's roads. From January 3 to 6, road workers have already cleared more than 1,598 km of roads, using over 2,900 tons of sand-salt mixture and more than 9 tons of pure salt.
"For prompt response to emergencies, a hotline for the Service for Recovery and Development of Infrastructure operates 24/7 at the number: +38 095 568 38 77," Synegubov added.
