The parliamentary committee on national defense has initiated the registration process for a bill aimed at extending the deadline for military medical commission (VVK) evaluations for conscripts classified as partially fit, reported committee member Irina Friz (from the “European Solidarity” faction).
"The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence has started the registration process for a bill to extend the VVK evaluation deadline to June 5 for conscripts with a partially fit status," Friz informed the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Wednesday.
According to Friz, the extension is necessary because the unrefined VVK system has failed to provide all those in need the opportunity to change their status within the timeframe set by another law.
"The committee will promptly work on this bill after its registration and will submit it for parliamentary consideration," the Member of Parliament stated.
Friz emphasized that the Verkhovna Rada must pass the bill by mid-February "to ensure that a significant number of citizens do not face administrative penalties."
