The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, congratulated Ukrainians on the upcoming New Year and emphasized that in the coming year, the SBU will continue its fight against the occupiers.
"Shoulder to shoulder with our comrades, we have already endured more than a thousand days of the Great War. Each challenge has only made us stronger, propelling us towards new military solutions. To overcome the modern horde, we are aided not only by technology but also by the Ukrainian spirit. The glorious history of our ancestors shows that Ukrainians are capable of dismantling the empire of evil. Today, the best sons and daughters are defending every inch of our homeland to defeat the enemy and preserve Ukraine for future generations," Maliuk emphasized.
The Security Service of Ukraine also makes a significant contribution to this struggle, he noted.
"On the battlefield, the special forces of the SBU's Central Special Operations Unit 'A' effectively eliminate the enemy and its equipment. They particularly excel in operating long-range drones. This year, they have struck dozens of military targets in the rear of Russia, including airfields, weapon arsenals, and oil depots. This has forced the Russian army to keep its reserves far from the front line," the head of the SBU reminded.
Moreover, military counterintelligence successfully employs new modifications of the Sea baby marine drones, particularly in combat against aircraft and helicopters. Counterintelligence combats Russian agents within the country and exposes traitors, adjusters, and collaborators. SBU investigators gather a robust evidentiary base to ensure that every scoundrel receives their just punishment, while cyber specialists maintain the information front.
"We are doing everything to ensure the enemy knows: whether in the sky or on the ground – retribution is inevitable! I am grateful to everyone working towards victory and supporting the Defense Forces. I wish peace, happiness, and prosperity to your families! And to all Ukrainians – strength, resilience, and the inevitable victory of Light over Darkness," Maliuk concluded.
