During the course of Monday, there were 153 combat engagements at the front, with the most intense situations occurring in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Lyman, and Vremivka directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Today, the enemy launched one missile strike on Ukrainian territory (using a single missile) and deployed 674 kamikaze drones. They conducted over 3,200 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas," the report states.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked twice near Volchanska and Liptsiv.
"In this direction today, preliminary estimates indicate that Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 43 occupiers, destroyed a tank, an artillery system, an anti-tank weapon, three vehicles, 18 UAVs, and two enemy communication devices, while also significantly damaging an artillery system and two vehicles," the summary notes.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhlyakivka, and Zahrizovo 16 times throughout the day. Currently, six combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 19 times in the areas of Kopanky, Nadiya, Novoheorivka, Makeivka, Ivanivka, and Terniv. Six combat engagements are still ongoing, while the rest have been halted by Ukrainian forces.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses once during the day near the settlement of Bilohorivka but faced resistance.
In the Kramatorsk direction, enemy activity resulted in ten combat engagements near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attempted to displace Ukrainian units from their positions near Shcherbinivka and Toretsk, where the Defense Forces repelled three attacks. Eight combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Petropavlivka, Sloviansk, Shevchenko, and Kurakhove. Currently, Ukrainian forces have repelled 13 attacks, with five combat engagements still in progress.
In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks near Yantarne, Uspenivka, Vremivka, and towards Konstantinople and Novosilka - 11 attacks have been repelled, with five ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to break through towards Novoandriivka twice, suffered losses, and retreated.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue operations in the Kursk region, having repelled 17 attacks from the invaders at this time.
