"We will put 'Nord Stream' back into operation," she stated to applause regarding the pipeline to Russia, as noted by n-tv.
The "Alternative for Germany" party officially announced its leader, 45-year-old Alice Weidel, as a candidate for chancellor at a party conference in the city of Riesa, Saxony.
As reported, the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) elected the current Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, as its candidate for the position at a party conference on Saturday for the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 23, 2025, according to Tagesschau.
