The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine has received an order to suspend funding for all projects due to a directive from the U.S. State Department to halt aid programs to other countries for 90 days, reports "Suspilne."
According to one of the USAID staff members in Kyiv, the agency currently lacks detailed instructions on how they plan to implement the directive and whether there will be any exceptions.
The USAID press service stated that they have redirected "Suspilne's" inquiry to the U.S. State Department.
USAID in Ukraine supports the restoration of schools, the provision of medical services, and the repair of critical energy infrastructure.
According to "Suspilne," Ukrainian organizations are receiving letters indicating the need to suspend activities funded by USAID or organizations dependent on American funding.
