The leader of the "European Solidarity" faction, Ukrainian MP Petro Poroshenko, stated that he will address the decision of the regulatory committee to suspend him from the plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada upon his return from Paris, reports the party's website.
"I will return - we will sort everything out. What is this meeting about, that you plan to lounge around for six months? You wanted to talk about morality – well, it is immoral when our military are holding the defense with all their might in Pokrovsk, Kupiansk, and Kursk, while you in parliament have not found the strength to expel the 'fifth column' of Putin's OPZZH, and instead, you want to smear Poroshenko by joining forces with them. When you have no desire to transfer funds to the military, including those that the military pays themselves in the form of personal income tax, to finance weapons. And you cynically, mockingly say: let Poroshenko finance you, military," he asserted.
Poroshenko declared that he will not tolerate the immoral behavior of the monobloc, "which ignores the problems at the front and tolerates representatives of OPZZH in parliament."
The politician emphasized that he is currently continuing his work in Paris (France), where he has already held meetings with the government, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leadership of the Senate's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, and the leadership of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee.
According to him, this is important right now because Ukraine faces challenges, particularly in ensuring the unity of Europe, as some countries demonstrate uncertainty regarding the peace process, ending the war, supporting Ukraine, and its integration into the EU and NATO. "We must coordinate our efforts with the President of France, as he is currently tasked with the difficult role of leadership, ensuring the possible deployment of military contingents on Ukrainian territory, and supporting the position for negotiations with American partners," Poroshenko emphasizes.
He added that "the interests of Ukraine are our priority." The politician also thanked everyone who expressed support for him following the decision of the Regulatory Committee. "To everyone who sent me messages today, to all who showed support through social networks, even to those from whom I did not expect to hear this, thank you very much. You are not supporting Poroshenko today – you are supporting freedom, democracy, and Ukraine," emphasized the leader of the "European Solidarity" party.
He also noted that he has financed the Ukrainian army with more than 6.5 billion. "Today, while I am in Paris, our team is with Ukrainian artillerymen, alongside the 43rd and 47th brigades, with Ukrainian scouts, and with special forces. They receive from us what the state has not provided. 'Warm' Maviks, fiber optic FPVs, FPVs with machine vision, wheels, baths, heaters, and much more. This is real work that I am engaged in. International parliamentary diplomacy – that is the real work I am doing. And do not hope that I will overlook your corrupt deals that you are trying to carry out in parliament, taking advantage of my absence. You will achieve nothing," Poroshenko emphasized.
As reported, the parliamentary committee on regulations recommended that the Verkhovna Rada suspend the leader of the "European Solidarity" party, Petro Poroshenko, from plenary sessions for six months, as reported by the co-chair of the faction, Irina Gerashchenko.
