The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, points out Vladimir Putin's attempts to avoid direct negotiations with him by any means possible.
"He clings to any moment to avoid sitting down for talks with me. And that’s the essence of the story – he fundamentally does not want any dialogue," Zelensky said during a national telethon on Thursday.
He emphasized that direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine would be a loss for Russia, as the goal of occupying Ukraine has not been achieved.
"Negotiations with Ukraine would simply mean a loss for Russia. Why negotiations? Because this is not an ultimatum… They have not fulfilled the task set by Putin, so for them, this is indeed not a victory," Zelensky stated.
