On Thursday, Russian forces shelled 12 communities in the Sumy region. As a result of the shelling in the Krasnopill community, a civilian was killed, and there are reports of damage to residential buildings, reports the regional military administration.
"Throughout the day, the Russians carried out 169 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in the Sumy region. A total of 311 explosions were recorded. The Sumy, Khotyn, Belopillia, Krasnopillia, Velykopysarivka, Novoslobodske, Putyvil, Berezivka, Esman, Shalyhyn, Druzhba, and Seredyno-Budska communities were affected by the shelling," the statement said.
Krasnopillia: mortar shelling was conducted (70 explosions), FPV drone attacks (7 explosions), VOG drops from UAVs (27 explosions), UAV missile launches (1 explosion), and artillery shelling (15 explosions). As a result, a private house was destroyed and caught fire, and one civilian was killed.
Seredyno-Budska: mortar shelling was recorded (37 explosions), FPV drone attacks (4 explosions), and VOG drops from UAVs (6 explosions). The shelling damaged a multi-apartment building and a private residence.
Sumy: a missile strike occurred. The enemy also launched an attack with a strike UAV (1 explosion). As a result of the attack, a private house was damaged.
Velykopysarivka: there were VOG drops from UAVs (10 explosions), mortar shelling (12 explosions), artillery fire (5 explosions), NAR shelling (39 explosions), and FPV drone attacks (7 explosions).
Khotyn: VOG was dropped from UAVs (19 explosions), KAB launches (3 explosions), and mortar shelling (11 explosions) were carried out.
Belopillia: VOG was dropped from UAVs (6 explosions), FPV drone attacks (2 explosions), and mortar shelling (8 explosions) took place.
Esman: the enemy fired from mortars (5 explosions), artillery (3 explosions), and FPV drones (4 explosions).
Berezivka: the Russians struck with artillery (3 explosions).
FPV drone attacks targeted the Druzhba (2 explosions), Shalyhyn (1 explosion), Novoslobodske (1 explosion), and Putyvil (1 explosion) communities.
