Russian forces are attempting to carry out massive strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Due to the missile threat, energy supply has been restricted to reduce risks to the system's operation, reported Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko on the morning of Wednesday, December 25.
"The enemy is once again launching large-scale attacks on the energy sector. The transmission system operator is taking necessary measures to limit consumption in order to minimize negative impacts on the energy system," he wrote on Facebook.
"As soon as the security situation allows, energy workers will assess the damage inflicted. Please stay tuned for official updates," the minister added.
