The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, maintains unwavering support for Ukraine amidst a dispute in the White House, reports the BBC.
According to the British Prime Minister's spokesperson, he eagerly anticipates "welcoming international leaders on Sunday, including President Zelensky."
"He (Starmer – IF-U) continues to show his strong support for Ukraine and plays his part in seeking a path forward to a robust peace based on Ukraine's sovereignty and security," the statement reads.
At a press conference on February 26, Zelensky announced that he would visit London following his trip to the United States. There, European leaders will gather to discuss joint defense and security plans.
As reported, Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation left the White House without making any comments to the press after a dispute occurred in the Oval Office during their interaction with journalists involving U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
In turn, Trump stated after the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office that his Ukrainian counterpart was unprepared for peace involving the U.S.
Zelensky received support from European leaders, who stated that Ukraine is fighting for the security of all of Europe against the Russian aggressor.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called for an immediate summit between the U.S., European nations, and allies to discuss solutions to challenges, "starting with Ukraine, which we have defended together in recent years."
