Trump: Putin and Zelensky need to collaborate.

Donald Trump told reporters that Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky should collaborate.

This statement was made by Trump while he was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of his new Secretary of Commerce on Friday.

"I think President Putin and President Zelensky will have to meet because, you know, we want to stop the killing of millions of people," Trump stated.

Trump reiterated his claim that Russia is eager to reach an agreement, and negotiations between Washington and Moscow are set to begin on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia.

He also mentioned that an agreement with Ukraine regarding mineral resources is nearing completion, echoing comments made just hours earlier by his national security advisor.

"This is across the ocean. It affects Europe, and we are investing three times more money - 300 billion, they - 100 billion, and you know, Europe is also doing this in the form of a loan, but I just gave him the money... We don’t want to keep doing this, so we are signing an agreement that, hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, will guarantee us a return of four hundred or five hundred billion dollars. Right now, we have 300 billion, and one more thing: Europe - one hundred. We - 300," Trump said.

Trump also addressed rumors circulated by some media about his intention to visit Moscow on May 9 – the U.S. president denied this information.
