Fifteen-year-old Darina has been successfully returned to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government as part of the "Bring Kids Back UA" initiative, reported Daria Zarivna, advisor to the head of the President's Office.
"At the beginning of the full-scale war, 15-year-old Darina was temporarily living with her uncle in southern Ukraine. Their settlement was occupied by Russian troops in the first days of the invasion, which prevented the girl from returning to her family. Thanks to the efforts of her relatives and lengthy negotiations lasting 9 months, Darina was finally able to reunite with her father in Ukraine," Zarivna wrote on Telegram on Wednesday.
