Andrei Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, refuted the Russian fake news regarding the alleged presence of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, at the "Bristol" hotel in Odesa, which was damaged by a Russian strike.
"No, of course, Kyrylo Budanov was not at the Odesa hotel 'Bristol,' as the Russian propaganda lies. The head of the GUR was not in other historical buildings in the city center either, a center that should be under UNESCO protection. War crimes, genocidal war, barbarism... the Russians continue to convince Ukrainians that everything Russian is evil; they must also convince the world," — wrote Yusov on his Facebook page.
Previously, Russian propaganda resources circulated information claiming that during the Russian strike on Odesa, the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, might have been at the "Bristol" hotel.
As reported, the occupying Russian army struck the historic center of Odesa on Friday evening, and currently, three people are known to have been injured and have been hospitalized.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that among the individuals who were at the epicenter of the Russian missile strike on Odesa were also Norwegian diplomatic representatives.
The Odesa publication "Dumska" reported that the "Bristol" hotel was affected by the explosion.
