The number of cases of desertion (SOD) among military personnel decreased in the fall of 2024, noted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Desertion increased in 2024, but since October or September, it has decreased. This is a fact. A long war is a long war. People hold on, and people get tired… Everyone is getting tired. The question is the percentage of those fatigued across the entire army," Zelensky said during a national telethon on Thursday.
According to him, rotations are happening due to reserves, but there are "not many of them, as not everyone has arrived to replenish the reserves."
