The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 138 out of 267 enemy drones last night, with 119 of them lost without negative consequences, reported the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 08:00, the downing of 138 strike drones of the Shahed type and drones of other types has been confirmed in the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk," the statement said.
It was noted that on the night of February 23 (from 19:00 on February 22), the enemy attacked with 267 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF, Chauda - Crimea, as well as three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Crimea.
It was reported that 119 enemy imitation drones were lost location-wise (without negative consequences), three of which flew towards Belarus, and one towards Russia.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the enemy attack, the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected.
