Ukrainian defense forces shot down 90 out of 166 enemy drones overnight into Thursday, with 72 lost to location without negative consequences, reported the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"As of 9:00 AM, the downing of 90 strike drones of the Shahed type and drones of other types has been confirmed in the regions of Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Odesa," the statement said.
It is noted that on the night of February 27 (from 8:00 PM on February 26), the enemy attacked with 166 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones of various types from the directions of: Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF.
72 enemy imitation drones were lost to location (without negative consequences).
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the enemy attack, Kyiv region, Chernihiv region, and Sumy region were affected.
