On Tuesday morning, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Shostka in the Sumy region, resulting in damage to 12 multi-story residential buildings, reported the mayor of Shostka, Nikolai Noga.
"Today, December 31, the enemy carried out a missile strike on the territory of the Shostka community and continues shelling," he posted on Facebook.
According to the mayor, the shelling has destroyed several infrastructure facilities. Twelve multi-story residential buildings, two educational institutions, and other social facilities have been damaged.
Emergency rescue units are currently in operation.
