Zelensky: I'm not concerned about Russia's future after the war, but there must be accountability for their crimes.

Зеленский: меня не волнует судьба РФ после войны, но преступления должны быть наказаны.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not concerned about what NATO guarantees will be for Russia or what will happen to it after the war ends in the future; however, he emphasized that Russia must face consequences for its crimes.

"To be honest, I am not interested at all in what will happen to them (Russia – IF-U) after the war. But these are our borders, and we need to understand what is happening there," Zelensky said in an interview with Lex Friedman, published on Sunday.

He stressed that "NATO guarantees for Ukraine are actually security guarantees for the Russians as well."

"There must be punishment for the crime. It’s simply a matter of justice. If there is no justice and the murderers go unpunished, why wouldn’t these people (whose relatives died in the war – IF-U) return with hatred? They will definitely return. And so, when we talk about NATO, NATO not only stops Russia - don’t forget that NATO also stops us. Because justice will not be served for everyone," Zelensky stated.
