The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held meetings with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, instructing government members to collaborate with partners in Europe to maintain the stability of the unified European energy system.
"I received details on the import of electricity from the European Union to Ukraine via Slovakia – about 19% of the total volume. We are working with other neighbors in the EU," - said Zelensky in a video address on Saturday evening.
According to him, the president tasked members of the Ukrainian government to work alongside the European Commission and partners in Europe to ensure the stability of the unified European energy system and European energy regulations.
"No matter what Putin told Fico when he was in the Kremlin, European rules must be stronger than the connections of any individual with Moscow," - emphasized Zelensky.
