The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, informed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the situation at the front and proposed increasing funding for Ukrainian arms production, the press service of the Ukrainian leader reported.
"The President suggested that Canada increase funding for Ukrainian arms production and consider the possibility of localizing the production of certain types of weapons," the statement said.
Additionally, the president discussed the situation on the battlefield, the progress of the Kursk operation, and the losses of the North Korean contingent.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the Canadian Prime Minister for all the defense support provided, particularly for the NASAMS system, and informed him about current military needs, primarily regarding air defense and armored vehicles.
