The CEO of the "State Rear Operator" (GOT), Arsen Jumadilov, confirmed that he will lead the Defense Procurement Agency (AOZ) while simultaneously retaining his previous position.

"It's true. I have agreed to take on the responsibility for procuring lethal supplies during, to put it mildly, a challenging time. Building a systematic approach to support our troops is my sole objective. I promise to exert maximum effort to accomplish this task while remaining the head of DOT," - wrote Jumadilov on Facebook on Friday evening.

As reported, Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that the contract with Marina Bezrukova, who headed the AOZ, will not be extended, and he also announced the dismissal of his deputy, Dmitry Klimenkov.

"Weapon purchases, which should be classified during martial law and a full-scale war with the Russian Federation, have somehow turned into 'Amazon,' where every internet user can see in real-time who is buying what, in what quantities, and from which manufacturers. Yet, our defenders at the front have not felt the scale of these purchases that would at least be comparable to the media PR," the minister wrote on Facebook.

Therefore, Umerov stated that he had decided to "dismiss everyone who failed in this task" and that Arsen Jumadilov would be appointed as the director of AOZ. According to the head of the agency, "this year AOZ and GOT had the same conditions. One agency accomplished its work, while the other only created media noise."

"There has been much talk about purchasing weapons for the army, but the results are unsatisfactory. We are changing the system to ensure that results are seen at the front, not just in the news," the head of the agency wrote.
