The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Albania, Andrii Sybiha and Igli Hasani, officially inaugurated the Albanian embassy in Ukraine, as reported by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the X platform on Friday evening.
"Today in Kyiv, together with my colleague @IgliHasani, we opened the Embassy of the Republic of Albania. This is the first embassy to be opened in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion by Russia. It symbolizes the resilience, unity, and shared future of Ukraine and Albania in the EU and NATO," Andrii Sybiha wrote on X.
As previously reported, on October 20, the embassies of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Montenegro were damaged in Kyiv due to enemy shelling.
In February 2024, the then Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, following talks with his Albanian counterpart Igli Hasani, announced that Albania plans to open its embassy in Kyiv in the near future.
