Operators of the Special Operations Forces eliminated 21 and injured 40 North Korean troops who were advancing on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
“The advance of the North Koreans fighting on the side of Russia was held back for over eight hours by operators of the 8th Special Operations Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, along with friendly infantry, using small arms and grenade launchers. Snipers were also active,” - reported the Special Operations Forces on their Telegram channel.
It was noted that by the ninth hour of the battle, the CCO group had only a third of their ammunition left. The remainder was spent on eliminating enemies.
“The operators decided to exfiltrate - a military tactic for quickly withdrawing a group from the battlefield to a safe location. The fighters smoothly exited in two Humvees,” - reported the Special Operations Forces.
