One of the injured from the Russian missile strike on a high-rise building in Poltava has died in the hospital, bringing the death toll to eleven, as confirmed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine regarding the number of casualties and injuries.
"The number of fatalities in Poltava has increased to 11 (one person died in the hospital). 16 individuals were injured, including 4 children. 22 people have been rescued," - written in the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service as of 23:18 on Saturday, February 1.
Rescue operations are ongoing.
As reported, the strike in Poltava destroyed the entrance of a multi-story residential building from the 1st to the 5th floor, causing a fire. Ten people were reported dead, including a child, and 17 others were injured, three of whom were children. Nearby buildings and 12 vehicles were also damaged.
