Kiev. January 28. Interfax-Ukraine - Fico opts for Moscow over America and other partners that could provide his country with gas on commercial terms, responded Volodymyr Zelensky in a Telegram post addressing the Slovak Prime Minister's attacks.
The Ukrainian president mentioned in his comment Trump's decision, which allows for a significant increase in American LNG exports, particularly to Europe.
"American LNG must be paid for with money, while Russian gas requires not only money but also independence and sovereignty. Many in Europe... have chosen to maintain their independence and sovereignty. But Mr. Fico does not. He chooses Moscow over America and other partners that could supply his country with gas on commercial terms," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
As reported, Prime Minister Fico labeled the president of Ukraine as "an enemy of Slovakia" and once again threatened to block the decision to provide assistance to Ukraine during a meeting of the Slovak parliament's economic committee.
