The information systems of Japan Airlines Corporation (JAL) were targeted in a cyberattack on Thursday, forcing the airline to suspend ticket sales for international and domestic flights for the remainder of the day, reports Kyodo News.
According to the agency, the cyberattack affected systems related to baggage processing. As a result, JAL had to delay 24 domestic flights and make changes to the schedules of some international flights.
The issue was first detected around 7:25 AM local time (0:25 AM Kyiv time). Other airlines were not affected.
