Келлогг: Мы стремимся гарантировать, что Украина будет суверенным и успешным государством.

Assistant to U.S. President Donald Trump and Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, stated that the U.S. aims to ensure that a sovereign, stable, and successful state exists in Ukraine.

"We want to ensure that there is a sovereign, stable, successful state in Ukraine. And it is evident that this is being pursued due to the cessation of Russian aggression. We understand that. But the final details of this are what need to be worked out, and will be worked out," he said during a panel discussion at the 61st Munich Security Conference.

When asked whether the U.S. seeks merely an end to the war or a victory in it, the retired general responded: "I think you should ask yourself that. It’s a Ukrainian question. Because you are fighting for your survival."

He also emphasized that he had been to Ukraine and that "Ukrainians have fought bravely."

"Let’s be absolutely honest. Ukrainians have fought bravely. What you have done to sacrifice your loved ones is incredible. I have been to Ukraine, and I have seen. I was far enough east. I saw Izyum and similar places, and I know what you have done and what you have gone through," Kellogg said.

At the same time, he highlighted that when a soldier is injured, the first thing that is done is to "stop the bleeding," followed by "treatment for shock."

The 61st Munich Security Conference is taking place in Germany from February 14-16, 2025, with 60 leaders from states and governments in attendance. This year's main topic is Russia's war against Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky leads the Ukrainian delegation.
