The Netherlands has already purchased 155mm artillery ammunition for Ukraine, amounting to over 1 billion euros, as reported by Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans at the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense's website, this brings the total military support for Ukraine to nearly 6 billion euros.
“This is yet another milestone in our unwavering support for Ukraine. Ukraine desperately needs it to halt Russian aggression and prevail on the battlefield. Ukrainians are not only fighting for their freedom and security. They are also holding back Russia for all of Europe. That is why our support has been and will remain critically important,” emphasized Brekelmans.
In Germany, the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group is taking place at the Ramstein Air Base on Thursday, December 9, after a long hiatus. The last, 24th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group was held on September 6 at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
Leaders of capability coalition groups within the Ramstein format approved 8 “roadmaps” that outline key objectives for Ukraine's Defense Forces until 2027. These coalition roadmaps define Ukraine's strategic goals until 2027 and serve as the foundation for medium- and long-term support. We are also working to ensure that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fully compatible with Alliance forces, stated Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The first meeting at the Ramstein Air Base took place on April 26, 2022.
