The Ukrainian Defense Minister, following a meeting with his Dutch counterpart Ruben Brekelmans at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, announced that the Netherlands will soon provide assistance to enhance the protection of Ukrainian airspace.

“Another key topic of the negotiations was the strengthening of our air defense. The Netherlands will soon provide aid that will significantly bolster our sky protection,” he wrote on Facebook.

According to Umerov, a primary focus of the meeting was directing investments into joint defense projects.

“A particularly important area is the production of long-range drones. We discussed in detail how to make this process as efficient as possible and analyzed the best mechanisms for direct financing,” the minister indicated.

The ministers also explored the possibility of utilizing revenues from frozen Russian assets to support the production of drone spare parts.

“This could become an effective tool for enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities,” Umerov noted.
