In 2025, Norway will provide the largest military aid in its history, exceeding 2 billion euros, to Ukraine, announced Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov following a meeting with Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram during the "Ramstein" discussions.

"These agreements will elevate our cooperation to a new level," Umerov emphasized, as reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on their Telegram channel.

Additionally, the meeting focused on enhancing air defense systems. Umerov pointed out that this is a critical area, and Ukraine is counting on support from Norway.

Norway will also continue to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry and joint projects, particularly in ammunition production.

"We discussed a new cooperation mechanism – the 'Norwegian model,' which will complement the already successful 'Danish model' and strengthen our defense capabilities," Umerov stated.

"Norway is one of the countries that not only assists on the battlefield but also fosters the unity of European nations in supporting our state. I thanked Mr. Bjørn Arild Gram for Norway's leadership in the Coalition of Maritime Capabilities and for the significant contribution to supporting Ukraine," he added.
