Russian forces are increasingly focusing their efforts on capturing Andreevka in the Donetsk region, attempting to break through to the village from multiple directions, reports DeepState.
According to DeepState analysts, the enemy is actively advancing on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces north of Andreevka. The occupiers are attacking from the areas of Slavyanka and Petropavlovka, moving along the ravines toward the Yasenovo-Andreevka road.
In the northeastern outskirts of Andreevka, the enemy has established a foothold, and their attempts to advance have noticeably intensified. The main movement is taking place from Petropavlovka, utilizing the dug-in fortifications as they try to penetrate deeper into the village.
“Recently, everyone could observe a 'red enclave' on the northeastern outskirts of Andreevka, which some mistook for an error or a bug. In reality, this reflects the presence and entrenchment of Russian infantry on the outskirts of the village, which is advancing from various sides, even through the positions of the Defense Forces,” the report states.
At the same time, Russian infantry is trying to break through the village of Shevchenko via engineering and fortification structures that connect it to Andreevka.
“After the initial successful attempts to enter Andreevka, the Russians saw an opportunity to develop this, therefore they are sending infantry to their doom with the task - 'die, but get through.'”
Additionally, the enemy is concentrating their efforts in the direction between Ulakly and Dachne, located south of Andreevka. This could open up new opportunities for further assaults on the village, note DeepState.
Analysts report that the defense of Andreevka remains challenging due to a number of issues, but the Ukrainian military is doing everything possible to hold back the enemy.
