A fire in a residential building in Kharkiv, caused by a strike from an enemy drone, has been extinguished, according to the State Emergency Service.

"As a result of the drone attack, there was partial destruction of the five-story residential building, as well as a fire on the roof and in the apartments on the upper floors. Five people were rescued. The fire, covering an area of 80 square meters, has been extinguished," reported the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region.

A total of 54 rescuers and 12 units of equipment were deployed at the scene. Psychologists provided assistance to the victims. A canine unit from the State Emergency Service was also involved.

According to preliminary data, 8 people were injured due to the enemy strike, including a child.
