Putin has once again confirmed that he fears negotiations and is doing everything possible to prolong the war, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Telegram message.
"Today, Putin reiterated that he is afraid of negotiations, afraid of strong leaders, and is doing everything to stretch out the war. Every step he takes and all his cynical tricks are aimed at making the war endless," the Ukrainian president's statement reads.
"Right now, we see that there is an opportunity to achieve real peace, but it is Putin who is doing everything to either continue the full-scale killing or to take a pause so that later, by launching hybrid attacks, he can prepare for a new full-scale invasion," Zelensky added.
In this way, the Ukrainian president reacted to the latest statements from the Kremlin dictator regarding the "illegitimacy" of Zelensky to sign agreements and that he is ready to "assign people" to negotiate with Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine warned world leaders against repeating the mistakes of past years. According to him, "Putin has great opportunities to destroy peace, but he has a heart that is too small and cowardly to withstand the real pressure from leaders."
